30000KVA Semi Closed Titanium Slag Furnace with Slag Granulation
This 30000KVA semi-closed furnace is supplied as a complete titanium slag line with continuous slag tapping and dry granulation. Three 1400mm self-baking electrodes deliver a flat high load, the slag is tapped at intervals through a water-cooled launder and granulated, and the granulated slag is dewatered and conveyed to the stockpile. Continuous tapping keeps the bath level nearly constant, which is the main lever for steady TiO2 grade in large scale ilmenite smelting.
Titanium Slag Process Advantages
- Large single unit output: 30MVA in one shell yields 80,000-90,000 tons of titanium slag per year and lowers specific labour and maintenance cost per ton.
- Near constant bath level: scheduled slag tapping through a water-cooled launder replaces batch tilting, so power input and slag grade stay flat across the campaign.
- Dry granulation included: slag granulation unit with dewatering conveyor gives free flowing, easy to handle granulated slag and avoids long cooling yards.
- Water-cooled semi-closed hood: fume capture with negative pressure, cooled panels and off-gas duct sized for downstream dust collection.
- Full line automation: PLC electrode regulation, power closed loop, launder temperature monitoring and interlock for water and off-gas faults.
