1. Product Overview

The Multi-electrode Ferrosilicon Smelting Furnace is a new-generation large-scale, high-efficiency submerged arc furnace optimized specifically for mass production of ferrosilicon alloys. Different from traditional 3-electrode single-loop smelting furnaces, this equipment adopts a mature multi-electrode symmetric layout (6-electrode standard configuration), which forms a uniform and stable high-temperature molten pool inside the furnace. It realizes balanced three-phase power distribution, eliminates smelting dead zones, and delivers continuous and efficient reduction reaction of quartz sand, iron scraps and carbon reducing agents. This series of furnaces is dedicated to the production of FeSi75, FeSi65, FeSi45 and other mainstream ferrosilicon products. With larger single-furnace output, lower unit power consumption and more stable product quality, it is the preferred core equipment for modern large-scale, energy-saving and high-yield ferrosilicon smelting enterprises, and supports personalized customization of furnace capacity and structural parameters.

2. Core Advantages

  • Uniform Temperature Field & High Alloy Recovery Rate: The multi-electrode symmetrical arrangement realizes full coverage of the furnace hearth temperature field, effectively avoiding local low temperature and unreacted raw materials. The molten pool is stable with less material bridging and collapse, the silicon recovery rate is stably above 94%, and the finished ferrosilicon has uniform composition, low impurity content and high commercial value.
  • Balanced Power Load & Significant Energy Saving: Optimized multi-loop short network design reduces line impedance and power loss. The three-phase power load is highly balanced, the power factor is stable at 0.93-0.96, and the effective utilization rate of electric energy is greatly improved. Compared with traditional 3-electrode furnaces, the unit power consumption per ton of ferrosilicon is reduced by 6%-12%, with prominent energy-saving benefits.
  • Large Single-line Capacity & High Operation Rate: The multi-electrode dispersed bearing structure reduces single-electrode current density and electrode load pressure, supporting long-term high-load and high-capacity smelting. It effectively increases single-furnace output without expanding factory area, and is suitable for 24-hour uninterrupted continuous production, greatly improving overall production efficiency.
  • Low Failure Rate & Reduced Production Cost: Disperse arc strike and thermal stress, effectively reduce electrode breakage, furnace lining erosion and equipment failure probability. The stable smelting state lowers the consumption of electrodes, refractory materials and auxiliary materials, and reduces later maintenance downtime and comprehensive production costs.
  • Intelligent Automatic Control & Simple Operation: Equipped with independent single-electrode hydraulic lifting and pressure regulating system, matched with full PLC intelligent automatic control system. It realizes automatic adjustment of electrode depth, arc current and voltage, automatic feeding and real-time monitoring of tapping status, reducing manual operation errors and labor costs.
  • Environmentally Friendly & Compliant Production: Adopts semi-closed or fully closed low hood sealing structure, which centrally collects flue gas and smelting dust. It can be matched with waste heat recovery, dust removal and desulfurization systems to meet EU and global environmental protection emission standards, realizing green and compliant smelting production.

3. Wide Application Scope

This multi-electrode ferrosilicon smelting furnace is mainly used for large-scale industrial production of various grades of ferrosilicon alloys (FeSi45, FeSi65, FeSi75). The finished ferrosilicon is widely used as deoxidizer, alloying agent and inoculant in steelmaking, stainless steel smelting, casting industry and mechanical manufacturing. In addition, by adjusting process parameters, the equipment can also adapt to the smelting production of silicomanganese alloy and other conventional ferroalloys, meeting the diversified production needs of comprehensive metallurgical enterprises.
