The gasification slag rock wool electric melting furnace is a submerged arc melting furnace specially developed for the resource utilization of coal gasification slag, a bulk solid waste from coal chemical and synthetic ammonia plants. The furnace melts pretreated gasification slag together with flux additives at 1450-1550°C and continuously delivers a homogeneous melt to the fiber spinning line, producing high-quality rock wool (mineral wool) insulation fibers from gasification solid waste, achieving both waste reduction and high-value recycling.

Production Process
Gasification slag is dewatered, dried and blended with flux additives to adjust the acidity coefficient for fiber forming. The prepared charge is continuously fed into the electric melting furnace and melted at 1450-1550°C into a homogeneous liquid. The melt flows through the taphole to a high-speed centrifugal spinner, where it is attenuated into rock wool fibers, collected and formed into insulation boards, felt and pipe sections.
