Production process:​

  The main raw materials of the special refining furnace, such as calcium-free chromium slag pellets, calcium-vanadium slag, blue carbon and silica, are respectively loaded into the distribution bin, batted by the weighing and measuring system, and fed into the feeding flat belt conveyor system through the lower mixing belt conveyor. The charging flat belt machine sends the raw materials to the high silo on the 17.50 meter platform of the electric furnace for storage. The material is put into the top feeding bin of the furnace by the distributing system composed of several belt sets, and then measured and weighed into the furnace through the feeding pipe in the furnace, and the thin material semi-open arc melting is carried out by continuous power supply. The slag and hot metal are discharged through the outlet, injected into the hot metal ladle and the intermediate slag ladle, and most of the slag is removed by high pressure water quenching method. After the oven is finished, the molten iron is driven to the casting span, and after sedation, the molten iron is cast to the ingot mold or continuous casting machine, after natural cooling and crushing, the crane is lifted to the iron box, and the cooling is finished into the warehouse.
  The flue gas of the electric furnace enters the CO combustion chamber, the smoke pipe is cooled, and the row pipe is cooled (waste heat boiler) into the high-temperature bag dust collector for treatment, and the dust is discharged after reaching the discharge standard of iron and steel smelting. The dust dust enters the temporary storage tank and is transported into the chromium salt system.


Features of this refiner:​

  2.Low electrode consumption.
  The 9000kvA furnace ton product consumes 0.012T of electrodes, which is 43% of the planned, and less than 30% of the 3500kvA furnace electrode consumption.
  3. The power factor to meet the design requirements.
  The design index of 9000kvA furnace power factor is ≥0.82, and the power factor in actual operation is about 0.90.
  4. Quality improvement.
  The quality of large furnaces and smaller furnaces have also been significantly improved, and the annual pass rate of ferrochrome has reached an average of 89%, which is nearly 5% higher than the plan, and the pass rate of small furnaces has increased by 20%.
  5. Basically realized submerged arc smelting.
  After a long time of exploration through the material ratio, electrode insertion depth, load size and other adjustments to basically achieve submerged arc smelting, furnace surface temperature is much lower than the test process, the circulating water temperature is significantly reduced.

Chromium salt slag resource pyrometallurgical equipment is specialized machinery that treats hazardous chromium salt slag (a by-product of chromium salt production) through high-temperature pyrometallurgical processes.   3. Metal Separation & Collection Equipment: After reduction, it separates the molten alloy (chromium-iron alloy) from the detoxified slag through sedimentation or magnetic separation, and collects the alloy for reuse in steelmaking or other industries.
